Impact, Confidence, Ease (ICE) is one of the scoring models available in Productfolio, that can be used to inform roadmap Feature scoring.
When To Use
ICE is a popular framework for quickly prioritizing opportunities. It is most frequently used in an outcome-oriented environment, where you’re optimizing for a particular goal such as engagement or monetization.
The impact then a score that indicates how aligned the opportunity is with that goal. Confidence indicates probability of the impact you intend to achieve based on unknowns. Ease is an inverse of “effort” used in other models but expressed this way for the sake of a very simply calculation (impact * confidence * ease) .

Step by Step Setup
- Navigate to Features > Prioritize.
- Click the ‘More Actions’ icon button (ellipse) in the upper right corner.
- Select ‘Scoring Settings’ from the dropdown that appears.
- Select ‘ICE’ from the dropdown menu and press select.
- Click ‘Proceed’ on the confirmation modal that appears.
